Connecting with the Vietnamese Community
The biggest and most-eagerly anticipated celebration for the community is Tet, or New Year, Tet is held at the same time as Chinese New Year.
It is supposed to be bring bad luck to clean during Tet, you don’t want to “sweep away” the good luck of the new year so traditionally, pre-Tet is cleanup time. This also when the Vietnamese community paint their houses!
